Warranty Coverage On Special Pricing
Some FORWRD bags are sold below our normal price: clearance, refurbished, warehouse sale, or a one-off price we negotiated with you directly. Those bags carry a shorter warranty than our standard coverage, and this page explains exactly what you get.
Returns are handled separately from warranty. We specified whether your order is returnable or final sale when you purchased, so check your order confirmation or the email where we quoted your price.
Covered for defects: 90 days
For 90 days from your delivery date, your bag is covered against manufacturing defects. That's the same list our standard warranty covers:
- Zipper sliders, pulls, teeth, and tape
- Buckles, clips, adjusters, and hardware
- Shoulder straps and webbing
- Load-bearing seams (strap anchors, handle anchors, and main compartment seams)
- Shell fabric or coating failure at the seam, or delamination
Within that window we'll resolve a covered claim the same way we would for any customer: a free replacement part, a repair credit, or a replacement bag, depending on what failed.
This window is here so you're protected against getting a bag that wasn't right to begin with. That's the risk that matters most on a discounted purchase, and we're not going to leave you holding it.
After that: structural coverage at replacement pricing
Once your 90-day defect window closes, structural failures stay covered for 18 months from the day your bag was delivered. What changes is the remedy: instead of a free repair or replacement, we'll offer you a replacement bag at roughly our cost plus shipping.
This covers the same components listed above: zippers, buckles and hardware, straps and webbing, load-bearing seams, and shell fabric or coating failure. Send us photos of the failure and we'll confirm your replacement price.
To be straightforward about it: this is here for bags that fail, not for bags that are simply worn out. We're not able to offer replacement pricing on a bag that's just reached the end of a long life.
What isn't covered
Bags purchased at special pricing aren't eligible for our standard lifetime structural warranty, or for free replacement parts and repair credits outside the 90-day window.
Beyond that, the same exclusions as our standard warranty apply: normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or overloading, damage from airlines or carriers, pet damage, weather exposure, modifications or third-party repairs, and lost or stolen bags. Coverage applies to the original purchaser only and isn't transferable.
Also not covered: mad doubles partners and crazy exes. We're sorry, but that one's between the two of you.
Why it works this way
Our standard warranty covers structural components for the reasonable life of the bag. Reasonable meaning years of hard play, not the rest of your natural life. We're a bag company, not a blood oath. That coverage is priced into what the bag normally sells for, and when we sell one well below that price, the long-term warranty is part of what makes the number possible.
You're getting the bag for less, you're protected against defects up front, and structural failures stay covered for two years after. We'd rather tell you that plainly than sell you a bag with coverage you'd only discover was missing when you needed it.
Filing a claim
Email support@forwrd.co with your order number and photos, one wide shot of the bag and one close-up of the issue. Most claims are handled from photos alone, and we'll only ask you to ship the bag back if we need to inspect it.
